So I was thinking about Byron Katie's question..."Who would you be without your story?" And I realized when people ask me..."How are you?" I reach inside my mind and tell them a story that mostly makes me feel angry or sad or confused. So what if instead when people asked ... "How are you?" You took a deep breathe, took in the present moment and said..."I am warm, this tea is delicious, and I am deeply enjoying your company."
That feels better to me a light went on inside me and I realized that the tapestry of my own woven storytelling has prevented me from seeing I was spinning. The spinning is done and in this moment now the stillness is amazing;)  David Venditti
